Exhibition & Sale of photographs of Sophie Le Roux
From May 2nd to June 26th

Sophie Le Roux you do not see her. From New Morning to Petit Journal Montparnasse, through the vast stage of Jazz Festivals, sliding smaller jazz rooms to the most upscale dance halls, she observes without being seen, stashed behind a column or in a quiet corner, catching the light of black body would absorb the musician quietly settle in for the silver grains.

During the shooting, Sophie is reduced to the essential, forgetting everything even music for fleeting moment when her eyes meet those of the musician, his hands, his joy, his anguish.

In recent years, Sophie focuses her unique look at the musician's hands, exposing these workers, revealing craked their anatomy, their attitudes and ornaments with which they adorn themselves. Solid phalanx of B.B. King and "bagousée" weighing on the sleeve of his Lucille, hands endangered Jimmy Scott clinging to the microphone like an old pilgrin's stick, elegance atrial Wayne Shorter touching the keys to roll his soprano saxophone.
