Projection of “La Symphonie des Petites Mains”
followed by Jazz & Chat with Eric Du Faÿ,
president of the association

Since 2006, the l'Association Petites Mains Symphoniques has been organizing a national classical music competition in all instrumental disciplines for children aged 6-12, and has become the largest in Europe in terms of enrollment. In 2012, for the first time and under the active sponsorship of Didier Lockwood, the contest is opening up to jazz for those between 7 and 14. The winners of the competition form a band then go on a two-year tour, while learning many other activities through a mixture of concerts, meetings, trips, academies, audiovisual recordings and more. This project changes the way children view and interact with music. It is mainly based on the notions of enjoyment and sharing by promoting equal opportunity: the Petites Mains Symphoniques encourages children in music from the age of six on.
