L’Esprit Jazz Big Band plays a 1950s revival
After its remarkable and widely noted comeback at the 2011 festival, the Grand Bal Swing will once again capture the hearts of all Parisian fans of swing. The fourteen musicians in the l'Esprit Jazz Big Band (three trumpets, three trombones, four saxophones, a piano / bass / drum trio and a singer, all led by Jean-Pierre Solves) will take us all right back into the heart of the swing years of the post-war era and such famous orchestras as those led by Count Basie, Duke Ellington and Glenn Miller. In a festive atmosphere, this exceptional band, so hard to see live, will accompany the distinguished dancers in the sublime courtyard of the Centre Culturel Irlandais. Come in the dress or with a hairstyle from that era and you will get a discounted admission price.
